God’s invisible Rapture

Harold Camping - Scaring stupid people since 1961

Oy, Harold Camping is annoying.  The “minister” (and I use that word loosely) who infamously predicted the Rapture would happen on May 21, 2011 is now saying it did happen.  We’re just not spiritual enough to know it.  God is way too cool to use earthquakes and other natural disasters to bring about the destruction of the human race.  His new thing is the invisible Rapture.

I personally think God is rolling his eyes right about now and muttering “Seriously?” to himself.  The really sad thing is that no matter how many times Camping is wrong there are a small number of people that are going to believe him and throw money at this idiot so he can continue to be wrong.

If Camping is representative of the kind of people God is going to call up during the Rapture, I volunteer to stay behind.

  1. Camping’s calculations were wrong and his assumptions naive, but Rapture and Judgment Day are still relevant! Humanity needs to know the truth. Listen to this very compelling recording from a new spiritual group that is making waves and getting the word out to be spiritually prepared with more than a simple prayer and some bible verses.

    • Sorry, Max, but the Rapture and Judgment Day are made up concepts invented by religions in order to terrify and control followers. Every work of fiction needs a climax. It’s a classic storytelling tool.

God isn’t about fear and shame. God is love.

      IMHO

  2. Mr. Fowling im sorry to here that is your veiw. God is a God of love but also a God of judgement. But I do agree with you about that particular minister being an idiot. If he really knew Gods word he would know that only God knows the time the rapture will occour. I hope this one minister that does not know the Bible as well as he should does not effect your beleif. God will judge those who do not follow Him.
Thanks for being such a great author.
