Review of the Week – August 9, 2010

I’ve decided to be completely self-indulgent and do a review of the week for one of my books.  Most of them will come from Amazon, but from time to time, I’ll pull from other sources as well.  Here’s one that just came in for Book Two of the Oz Chronicles, Délon City.

5.0 out of 5 stars

The Delons make the Takers seem nice. They are an insect race, and I suspect the author did some research on insects. One of the Delons, a skinner eats the skin of it’s living human victims then lays eggs inside them which soon hatch, but somehow keep the victim alive for the next few days as they eat the human from the inside out saving the vital organs for last. As far as I’m concerned that was worth the price of the book. Our hero is trapped in an insane asylum for the second book and is remembering all this through hypnotism. My only concern is he seems to get farther and farther from reality, and it’s hard to tell what’s real and what’s hallucination. The third book brings no conclusion to the story, so one hopes the author will bring things to a satisfactory end.

It’s a great review, but it does tell me that I’ve got to do a better job of getting the word out about Book Four.  It’s out and ready to read.
