Jennefer Love Hewitt Loves Her Some Oz Chronicles

Jennifer Loves Oz Hewitt

J-Love plants a kiss on her copy of The Land of the Dead at a recent party she threw to celebrate owning a copy of The Land of the Dead.  They’ll celebrate anything in Hollywood.  I couldn’t make it because I couldn’t find a picture of me in a suit to Photoshop in.

Book Four of the Oz Chronicles and the Papalback Reader

The Pope and Oz - I may be going to hell for this one.

The Holy Father enjoying a good book (but not “The” Good Book).  As they said on MASH once, “You can fool some of the Papal all of the time, and all of the Papal some of the time, but you can not fool all of the Papal all of the time.”  I’m hoping my Photoshop skills will get me into heaven.

The Twilight – Oz Chronicles Connection

Looks like Kristen's gone from sparkling vampires to creepy old cannibals.

I hope you had an awesome July 4!  I did and then some.  Spent the day with the lovely Mia and spotted this picture of Kristen Stewart catching up on the latest edition of the Oz Chronicles, The Land of the Dead.  Oddly enough, I spotted it after I created it in Photoshop!

Book Four of the Oz Chronicles – It’s Here!

Jennifer Aniston finds a cold weather spot to enjoy The Land of The Dead, Book Four of the Oz Chronicles.

This was a bit of surprise for me.  I went to Amazon this morning and discovered that The Land of the Dead, Book Four of the Oz Chronicles is available for sale.  I had no idea it would happen that fast.  We didn’t even have time to put together a ribbon cutting or put together one of those fancy red carpet events.  Oh, well.  What are you going to do?

I did send a copy to my buddy Jen while she was hanging out in an undisclosed cold weather location.  She sent me a picture of her with the book.  She’s cool like that.  We talked about the book and Photoshop.

Book Description: In the fourth installment of the Oz Chronicles, Oz Griffin continues his efforts to restore the world he destroyed.  But, when Oz and his band of warriors are led to an abandoned Southern mansion, they encounter a serial killer and become infected with an almost uncontrollable urge to feed … on each other.  With only nine days to find the cure, Oz must travel to the Land of the Dead and follow in the serial killer’s footsteps.  Will Oz survive the journey?

(The Land) of The Dead; Book 4 of the Oz Chronicles is Done!

First Draft of Book 4 is Done!

I typed an author’s two favorite words today, The End.  The first draft is done!  I have miles to go before I sleep, but completing the first draft is definitely reason to celebrate.  Final word count: 66,136, which I believe makes it the longest book in the series.

Major, major, major (possible) revelation in this book.  The only person who’s read it so far, (my wife) got mad at me. It had to be done.  It was part of the plan all along, and as much as I hated to do it, I had to go through with it.

Still debating on whether to stick with The Land of the Dead as the title or just go with The Dead.  I don’t want to tick off George Romero fans (of which I’m one), but I think I’m sticking with The Land of the Dead for now.  His dead and my dead are completely different animals.

Book 4 of the Oz Chronicles Update – (Land of) the Dead

The title will most likely just be "The Dead."

UPDATE: IT’S HERE!!! It’s coming. Cross my heart.  Stick a needle in my eye.  This one is a mixture of total fiction, and fictionalized fact.  The Destroyer in this one is a creep’s creep.  I intensely don’t like him, and he’s based on a real guy, Albert Fish.  Fish was a real boogeyman who ate children from about 1910 to the mid 1930’s. He bragged that he got kids in every state. He’s nasty and vile and the scariest bad guy Oz has come up against.  The more I read about him the more I wish I could go back in time and throw the guy off the Empire State building. He’s an evil, evil man.   Hope Oz can take him out. 🙂

I thought we’d be ready to go with Book 4 by March, but that didn’t happen, so I pushed it to April/May.  I’ll hit May definitely.

Did I capture a ghost on tape?

I was editing a video update on Land of the Dead; Book Four of the Oz Chronicles when I noticed a strange noise or voice or whatever you want to call it. To me, it actually sounds like it’s saying words, but I may be going nuts because of the bizarre things I’ve uncovered doing some research for the book. I leave it up to you, and yes I know this sounds crazy. It is what it is.

I’ll explain more about the significance of the “Nine Days” reference when I have more time to digest this.

Lost Days Proof Update – Your first peek at Book Four of the Oz Chronicles

I got the proof for Lost Days yesterday, and I made a last minute change, and it added about 30 pages to the book. Since I have had so many inquiries about The Land of the Dead; Book Four of the Oz Chronicles, I decided to include the first two and half chapters of the book at the back of Lost Days. I feel bad for making you all wait so long, and I realize I left you hanging at the end of Book Three. You’ve been extremely patient, and I just wanted you to get a little bit of Oz. I love Lost Days, but Oz is my boy.  I’m hoping to have the proof by the end of the week, and unless there are in glaring errors, I’ll put in for a shipment of Advance Reader Copies.  If you want an ARC, don’t forget to join the Lost Days Group on Facebook.

I’m getting really pumped about this release!  Can’t wait to get your feedback.
